Loany & Sara

July 28, 2009

I really want to start taking more pictures of children and to tell you the truth, I am challenged by it so I decided to just go for it. My vision for children is different than the typical photograph where children are all wearing white tops are sitting by the beach holding a sea star (not that that’s bad, it’s just not me). Also, we all know that it’s a lot of work to photograph children because they are so active, especially if you are trying to pose them. Loany is one of my friend’s daughter and let me tell you…she is already such a little model…she has some great potential. My little sister came along, but of course as you all know, she does not like to be photographed but that is where my skills come in!

I was chasing these girls capturing fun moments…(they were literally running away from me), but we had a great time.

What spunky attitudes you captured! The shot on the steps is BEAUTIFUL–love your processing, too. Also love the one with her eyes covered, the hug, and the last one. Great job, Paula!! Looking forward to seeing you next week!

  2. OMG Paula!! Those little girls are so beautiful, and you did such an AMAZING job capturing them…that’s what you did, you did not merely photograph them, you CAPTURED them! I can’t decide which is my favorite, but I think our next job may be you photographing my kids, although they are much older. You did a great job, I love them!!!

Beautiful! I love child photography because childre are the best at portraying true emotions whether it be a smile or even a cry (or in this case an urge to potty) :) Great job on some gorgeous pictures!!
