Recap

Wow…hello!! its sure has been a while since I have written a single word in this blog of mine…I bet you were all wondering if I just had totally forgotten about it. To tell you the truth, I have been working so hard making this blog exactly what I want it to be. So let me start from the top–after coming back from WPPI I had a much better idea of the direction that I needed to take this business. Not only did I meet amazing photographers, such as Jose Villa, Sarah Rhodes and Jessica Claire but I got to learn new concepts, new tips and more importantly more about branding. Now that my wedding season has started, I have implemented some of what i have been learning knowing that it takes time and practice! At this point, I feel very comfortable my shooting style and my workflow–and I plan to continue to grow.

Part of working on my brand, I started with this blog…much work went into making it look just perfect! Thanks to Daniella Miller who really worked hard to come up with this concept. As far as my logo, well– Paul Cordero came up with the concept that I was just looking for! It totally describes the artist that I am. And finally, I have been encouraged greatly by not only an amazing photographer, but also a beautiful person Johnna Brynn. She always reassures me to embrace who I am and to keep on going!

In addition to a new logo, a new blog and overall, a new brand I am also making the switch to MAC!! My brand new machine should be here next week…this brings a whole new set of things that I will have to learn, knowing that I am making yet another improvement to my work flow and speed. So, I better get to it!! I have lots of blogging to do!!

Thanks to you audience out there!

Paula!

Where do I start?! Well, I guess I have to tell you that my mom has always asked me to let my hair grow out, I just never wanted it. Well, after my little sister was born, she was so excited to see Sarah with very long hair. After 5 years, my mom was finally ready to get my sisters 1st haircut. So, my mom has been asking me where would be the BEST place to go, since my sister also wanted to donate it to Locks of Love!. We went to see one of my sweet brides: Katy Powell. She is my personal hairstylist, so my mom trusted her to do the job!! (he-he) I knew my mom was going to get emotional, so I brought my camera along.

There she is…

I love this very first picture! I love the feel to it!

Look at my momma!

Look at the tears...she thought it was going to hurt!

The emotional part!! Ohh...mommy...

Happy 1st Birthday son!

Wow, I can’t believe a year has gone by since the day my little baby came into this world!!! I am incredibly thankful that God sent us this little buddy to play with. I absolutely love being able to be at home with him and enjoy his first year. I got to tell you, those first few months were hard after he was born…I mean I guess I really did not realize what it is like to fully care for someone. He is a person that needs attention and You are the one to provide it! You also get to play with them & love them!

I am incredibly that we have had a great first year, and hope to have many more years filled with fun smiles, games & learning lots from him! Thanks you dear Lord for him!
