NY model shoot part I

May 21, 2010

This past weekend I had the pleasure of traveling up to NY city! My friend Sabrina invited me to come and hang out with her…and take a few pictures around the city. I loved the opportunity to get away for a few days and I jumped on this awesome experience…specially since I knew she wanted some photos of herself ( she had a vision for these photos, and I was incredibly excited about that) . I often encourage my clients to pick a theme and go with it….well, Sabrina really put that together for this shoot, starting with her hair, ( which her sister put together in about 15 mins), from the outfit she wore to the attitude that she had! She took control of this shoot by posing the way she wanted to look! I was so thrilled and have to say that I did very little talking…mostly shooting and enjoying her talent. I loved this so much and there are more to come in the next blog entry. For now, enjoy these…she looks so beautiful, but the most amazing thing, is that she totally embraced herself!

Thanks girl for this session….I can’t wait to show the rest!

Love this...really...specially since the US flag is the the back somehow!

This girl is truly a great model! She totally came up with this move on her own, in front of a lot of people!

Ha! this guy Loved her and had to stop to take her pic! so cute!

Stunning Sabrina!!

The Non-Profit Organization Gap had their second annual cultural show hosted at 2001 club. More than 70 local artist and High School students from the Academy set their art pieces for two nights of art, fun & food! This show has been so big the last 3 years, they actually split it into two nights, allowing locals to come out for two nights in a row to participate. There was so many great artists and art work. The academy students had a whole separate section to display their art! They were also the “immigration officers” as you were coming in! Funny kids!

Anyways, we also had the opportunity to introduce the project that Heart Stories and myself are working on. So this is how it went down, my friend Jenny started explaining to the crowd of like 300 what the project was all about…! She is soo well spoken and then she hands me the microphone and have to basically say something different…! I get a little nervous speaking in large crowds, but I did it! I was pretty proud of myself, I was just hoping not to forget any of the words in English!

It was a great night! I took my camera and snapped a couple of pics.
