I’m going to go ahead and say this: I love this couple so much…starting with Anna and her gown. It was flowy, light, and it fit the beach theme. All her bridesmaids looked adorable in their little black dresses and high heels and the groomsman had matching Converse shoes. When I arrived at the reception area, my eyes went straight to the huge vases with beautiful earth tone flowers they had for center pieces…( ohh…how I love green & brown).  And how about the gospel singers? Their voices were so powerful, it gave me chills and joy at the same time…what an authentic and original idea, ha? This group had such a blast and so did we! Congrats you guys!

Thanks to vendors for making this wedding beautiful!

Venue: DeBordieu

Gospel singers: The Plantation Singers

This gospel group was just so authentic and original

Can anything be more dreamy than a beautiful day, an amazing location with fun and happy people?! The meaning of dreamy came true for me on this day. Andrew’s mom, Donna put this together so beautifully, all the elements and colors made a low-country theme. Greens and other earth tones were everywhere you looked. The quintet of strings, seriously made me feel so proud to be residing in our beautiful SC! You guys were amazing!

Look at these two stylin'...soo cute!

Love this quintet! The music was so appropriate!

Oysters anyone?!

Haha...you both are so great together!

Promo video: Behind the Scenes

November 11, 2010

It all started when my dog ran all the way down the street and met another 4 legged friend who looked just like him. I approached the other dog’s owner to apologize and got to talking. Rik told me he was a videographer in the area, so we immediately made a connection after he found out that I was photographer who owned a 5D Mark II with video capabilities. He was immediately excited about working together in the future. It was after a few projects, when this “promo” video idea came up. At first, I was really hesitant to do anything like it…its like I am pretty much putting myself on the web. I was even more hesitant when he said we should do an interview. I was like..ummn NO, thanks. I tried to explain that I have this Colombian accent,, that I make funny faces, that sometimes I open my eyes way to wide when I am trying to emphasize a point. Well, apparently, that’s very animated. So, I give in… and decide to have fun with it too!

Rik is the president of Encore, a Video company here in our beautiful Myrtle Beach. I put my complete trust in the work he was about to do. Along with him, his son Graham; who by the way, has an amazing eye. We put a plan together and voila! Of course, nothing could have been done without my beautiful models! Big thanks to Pasha who took these behind the scenes photos.

When we finished all of our “action” scenes, we moved to the studio. Lord, this was the hardest thing to do. Honestly having cameras, lights EVERYWHERE,  and opening my heart to a bunch of people made me nervous, proud, scared, happy and every other feeling out there!

Can’t forget to give my dear friend Mark Gladden a huge THANK YOU for making this amazing arrangement for this video! Your work is simply amazing!

Stay tunned…the video is coming very very soon! Comments are always encouraged! Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

Love,
