The purpose of my project is to allow children to discover art they can create in a new way. I am inspired by being able to show something in different ways. I feel that photography lets me go beyond my imagination and create something unique. I partnered up with the Children’s Museum in Myrtle beach to allow classes be taught there.
This was a six week program that I started teaching in June of 2008. The class age is 6 to 10 years old. The goal of this program was to teach children the basics of photography and let them take pictures during class and also on their own. We were very privileged to have an art exhibition at the end of the six weeks and showcase the work that the children made. Also, each child made a scrap book of their best photos that were taken during the program. It will be a remainder of the art that they are able to create by the means of what we call photography. This was an amazing program and I learned so much too! Here are some of the pictures of us!

Let me introduce each child and their work! This is Eliza, she was very shy at first and had never held a camera before. By the end of the program, she had developed her own little style!
